[On Christmas Eve, a present is brought to Lily's door by hand. He feels like he's followed the Christmas customs perfectly; he brings a miniature Christmas tree with him and sets it up in front of the door, then sets his package up under the tiny tree. He also drops some fake white hairs on the ground, which he believes are supposed to be a symbol that the mythical Santa was here.

Then, he leaves a knock on the door and starts to leave, while laughing in as bombastic a tone as he can muster, "HOHOHOHOHOHOHO!"

The package itself is wrapped in green wrapping paper that has been bedazzled. Attached to the package is a card addressed to Sakura.]

"Dear Sakura-san,

These past weeks, the thought that has made me the happiest has been knowing that you are here, alive and well. I am so glad that you were saved. And I know that with those of us who are here, we will find a solution.

I have learned a lot just from knowing you, Sakura-san. You have helped me through my most trying times, and you have inspired me to become even stronger. I can only admire everything you've managed to accomplish with your team, while being the kindest person I know!

The package itself includes several gifts: A set of customized shuriken and kunai (the latter bearing pink bands around the handles bearing the l春野 symbol), some weights/small training tools, pink bracelet, a framed photo of Gai-Sensei, a set of pink leather gloves, a pink scarf, a bouquet of daffodils and some coupons for free ramen at the place where he and Naruto work. There's also a number of handmade 'coupons' that Sakura is to cash in with herself, to grant herself 'a free day of relaxation'.]

[ She doesn't get to the door in time (having to untangle herself from cords and books), but she does receive her gift before anyone else can take it. She'll even bring in the tree, setting it a center piece for the dining room table she has. The flowers, of course, go in her room.

There's a lot to think about when it comes to his gift. Hopefully it's enough to keep her from thinking about a certain you-know-who. ]

[ The message comes through and while she doesn't pay it any attention at first, she does come back to it half a hour later. After spending some time at the Winter Ball (which was a waste for someone as studious as herself), she left it early and didn't heed enough attention to those who may have shown up. As far as she's aware, Sai is the only one from home to appear and of course that meant she had to spend the next week wondering why it had been him instead of Sasuke. Because that's what she does why.

Only when she picks up the CereVice to read it again does the importance of the message click in her mind. What's embarrassing is that he has to be the one to contact her and on top of that, she made him wait for a reply. ]

I wasn't aware the Kazekage had arrived as well. Have you been made aware of our situation?
